The Keswick Computers webcam is now live! The webcam is located in our main office in Keswick and shows an image of Keswick and the awesome Skiddaw fell in the background, rising into the sky! The image is updated every minute so it is always up-to-date and a great resource for checking out the locate weather!

The Lakeland Pedlar – Redesign Underway

The Keswick Computers Website Development Team are currently undertaking the redesign and development of The Lakeland Pedlar – a local cafe which specialises in great homemade vegetarian food, with a cycling twist. New features to the site will include updatable menus and a blog-style news and events section were you will find great vegetarian recipes, local events in Keswick, seasonal food information and much more!

The Tidy Up Begins

The flood waters are beginning to sub-side. To help with the financial difficulties which many will face, the Keswick and Cockermouth Rotary Clubs have launched a charity appeal. The appeal aims to raise the much needed funds to help those affected, who cannot repair their homes by any other means. Business as usual at KCS

KCS (Keswick Computer Services) has been very lucky with the current flood conditions, our offices are high above the current flooded state of Keswick, Cockermouth and Workington. All our Servers and systems are back on line and we have a solid broadband connection, we will be open from 8AM Monday 23, prioritising for business critical support.

Keswick Flood Photos

Severe Flood Warnings have been announced for the North West, and Cumbria is certainly no exception. Take a look at the photographs taken by our own Tom Mellodew which so the damage caused so far by flooding in Keswick. Images include the River Greta which has risen dangerously high, Fitz Park with is unrecognisable, Hope Park which is completely covered in water, and the Boat Launch at Derwentwater where the water level is at least 6 feet higher than normal!

Fitz Park Play Area Project – Calendar Launch

Keswick Computer Services teamed up with Chris Jones Gyroplanes to create a 2010 wall calendar for the Fitz Park Play Area Project, which is this year’s chosen charity of the Mayor of Keswick, Andrew Lysser. The project hopes to raise the remaining funds for this worth while cause, by selling the wall calendars which feature stunning shots of the Lake District, taken from above.

Microsoft Windows 7 Released

October 29th, 2009

On the 22nd October Windows 7, the latest operating system from Microsoft, was released to all. We at Keswick Computers feel this will be the same marked improvement as it was when we moved to Windows XP from Windows 98.
